Plush Red & Gold Indian Reception Decor

Red and gold are classic South Asian wedding colors, but can be tricky to pull off sometimes. Sonia Sharma Events put the right touches on every single detail and created a sophisticated decor palette made of rich crimsons, light golds, bronzes, and off-white flourishes. Plush velvet pillows adorned a gold sofa for Sonia and Deepak. Centerpieces made from classic blood-red roses and and bronze draping transformed the Langam Hotel in Pasadena into a reception hall fit for Indian royalty!

What bride doesn’t dream of her groom making a grand baraath entrance? Well, Deepak just did that with his grand entry on a ceremonially dressed elephant! Sonia and Deepak had a sweet outdoor Hindu ceremony at the Langam Hotel in Pasadena. A simple white mandap was the perfect setting for Sonia and Deepak to take their nuptial vows. Sonia and Deepak had a superbly elegant wedding, but before we move onto the main festivities, we wanted to showcase this gorrrrrgeous pre-wedding shoot Jin & Lirsa Photography did with the blushing bride-to-be. Yellow can be a tricky color to pull off but Sonia’s creamy yellow showstopper outfit complemented her skintone. She completed the look with an elegant mantika and some classy neck baubbles. Her side bride and face-framing tendrils completed this sophisticated look.

Saira and Kevin brought the best of both worlds to their nuptial celebrations by having a American wedding ceremony and a Bangladeshi wedding reception on the same day. Saira got to wear both a white wedding gown and a gorgeous lehenga (which you’ll see in just a bit), every South Asian-American bride’s dream!

Saira absolutely stunned us in her white gown, so we were ready to see how dapper Kevin looked as a groom, and he didn’t disappoint.

A Bangladeshi Bride Sparkles in White

We love every single thing about Saira’s wedding day look. Her look simply screamed glamour and sass. We adore her fun bouffant with big waves streaming down her back and of course the flash of red on her lips and swipe of dark black eyeliner. And the dress! Oh, the dress. Fiitted at the bodice, with a twirly tafetta bottom—what’s not to love?
