Farrah met Ali during her senior year of college. Although they had crossed paths multiple times during their overlap at UCLA, it was not until Ali met Farrah off-campus that sparks flew. The two struck up a conversation at her cousin’s wedding in 2006, where she asked him to dance! Ali was crashing that wedding since his older brother was the only one  invited, and the rest is history. He first noticed her when she sang “Amazed” by Lonestar, a country song she performed that evening.

Fast forward four years! This couple overcame medical school and residency, graduate school and work, and a long distance relationship. Ali took Farrah on a vacation to Big Sur, California. The couple decided to “unplug” and unwind from their busy and hectic lives and enjoy the natural beauty of the central coast. They spent the weekend in a cabin with no internet or cell phone reception, went hiking, bathed in natural hot springs, and simply enjoyed each other’s company.

Ali proposed to Farrah over dinner at the Nepenthe Restaurant in Big Sur, CA. Beautiful ocean views surrounded the couple as Farrah said “yes!” Congratulations from other diners and a few drinks on behalf of the owner made the night a success!

Ali and Farrah celebrated their engagement Saturday, April 24th, 2010 with close family at Farrah’s parents house in Bakersfield, CA.
