Designer Tarun Tahiliani’s ‘The Painterly Vision’ was the grand finale of this Lakme’s latest season. Tahiliani’s collection wowed onlookers with the spectacular draping and extraordinarily chic and complex color palette that ranged from saffrons velvety blacks to cornsilk blues. Unique touches such as a brocade belt on a sari, an exquisite pave blouse and a slightly shaded sherwani makes this veteran designer’s newest collection a standout choice for ‘haute couture’ brides everywhere. See the collection after the jump.

I really like the dark theme – very vampire like – love that!
I like this collection, very eccentric.
collection is nice…but very old and safe concept(mughal inspiration)for indian designer’s….sabyasachi had done lotza tym….
there is a black saree with a lot of black and gold chains on the blouse which is like a body suit.. the saree is draped in an unusual manner and the drapes r stitched..i tried it at the tarun tahiliani store in bandra and its B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L..the finale collection consisted of lovely drapes and fabrics..the picture is not displayed here
Love the belt over saree-look! (The velvet blouses not so much.) The collection as a whole is great.
