Are their proper vendors for shopping (sari etc) there?

Bharath came highly recommended by a friend. We used him for two events on Long Island for our wedding in Nov and Dec 2009. He is not dishonest, he is INCOMPETENT. Same story as above. He did not have enough bows and seat covers for our wedding. Yes, not enough. Why? That’s because he runs multiple weddings at the same time and the cheapo that he is, does not order enough. He managed to get some at the last min from the other wedding and he put the unlaundered covers on 45 min before guests began arriving. Same thing with stage. Did not have a carpet large enough to cover wooden stage (when he knew the size. We actually had to get bedsheets from a hotel and staple them to the stage. Not enough flowers that arrived too late. And then chairs that did not match the stage. And when we yelled at him, he got all pissy. He will show you beautiful photos, and write what you want in contract, but on wedding day, with guests bearing down, no one cares about contract. We actually were thinking about sue’ing him but but later were like whatever. Him and his wife run a grade A incompetent operation. Its amature hour with this guy, dosent matter what he tells you.

Great work but I do have a review of Stylish Events since I have used them for my own wedding.

COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DID NOT DELIVER WHAT WAS WRITTEN AND PROMISED!!

We had ordered our stage, aisle, and flowers from them. They made a lot of promises and did a less than satisfactory job in delivering it.

Problem 1:
We had ordered centerpieces with white roses and white calla lilies and we paid extra to get a rare red flower that would go inside the vase to accent the centerpiece.
We did not receive the red exotic flower, instead he put in a white orchid which is not anywhere close to what was in the contract.
Also, the centerpiece was not suppose to show any green, it was only suppose to be white flowers and gold painted fillers. There was green everywhere!

Problem2:
We had originally ordered a swing but on the wedding day as they prepared the stage we saw two chairs instead of a swing. We told Bharath (the owner) that’s unacceptable, he had an attitude and was very unprofessional saying we did not request it (we discussed our event and decorations with him only, no one else in his company), our photographer including our banquet manager knew what we were suppose to have and didn’t understand why it was different with stylish events. We planned our wedding down to every minute. We created program cards and detailed description of the event for all of our vendors, and they all received the same description in writing. At the end it was the Banquet Manager who forced him to get the swing to honor the contract. To make things worse, he got the swing, but he brought a swing straight from his display at his store that had paint chipped off and paper flowers attached to it!

Problem3:
We had ordered a cake from a vendor that sits at his store. She was an amazing person to work with, so we discussed the cake with her, came up with the cake we wanted and Bharath said he would provide the flowers to decorate the cake, the flowers he provided was less than appealing and also he tried to pass on the cost to the cake decorator, the flowers were wilted and in such bad conditions that she refused to put it on the cake and purchased flowers on her own. we got the complaint and thought it was very unprofessional of stylish events.

I would not recommend this vendor to anyone, he acts as if he cares and completely changes his attitude on the day. He knows there is very little you can do when the guests are suppose to arrive in a few hours and the wedding is getting ready to start. STAY AWAY, not recommended!
